Nucleate, the nonprofit organization led by academic trainees and dedicated to empowering the next generation of biotech leaders, today announced its newest Core and Associate chapters. The Core chapters are Israel, Denmark, Germany, and Florida; the Associate chapters are Singapore, Pittsburgh, Arizona, and the Baltics.
A Global Biotechnology Network
With the expansion of Nucleate into new regions, the organization aims to bridge geographical chasms and connect biotechnologists from diverse backgrounds. The addition of these chapters also provides a platform for local ecosystems, supporting career development and collaboration.
“Nucleate has a unique opportunity to empower a generation of biotechnologists and integrate scientific disciplines. Endorsed by Israel’s Bio-Convergence Initiative, they are imbuing technology development with a new strategic lens and a connected global community,” said Dana Gourevich, CTO of the Israeli Innovation Authority.

Nucleate regional chapters engage in a range of initiatives: conferences, hackathons, speaker panels, mentorship programs, and networking events. These activities bolster local biotech by connecting academic trainees, senior faculty, investors, founders, and other stakeholders. Such regional entities are called Associate Chapters.
As the Associate Chapters progress, they attain Core chapter status. At this milestone, they manage the complete range of Nucleate’s programs, including the Activator program, the equity-free, in-depth curriculum aimed at life science venture creation for applications to human health and environmental sustainability.
New Chapters Led by Scientists
Nucleate is excited to welcome new Core chapters, located in Israel, Denmark, Germany, and Florida. These chapters have successfully engaged with their respective biotech community at scale, pioneering a wide range of educational programs.

“Joining Nucleate as the Florida chapter has allowed us to bridge the gap between academia and the biotech industry. We’re connecting our community to a diverse and global network of like-minded individuals,” said Natalie Ricciardi, Co-Managing Director of Nucleate Florida and Ph.D. candidate at the University of Miami.
Those chapters are accompanied by the incoming class of four Associate chapters based in Singapore, Pittsburgh, Arizona, and the Baltics.
