Nucleate, the nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering future biotech leaders, announced 143 venture teams in the first international cycle of its Activator program.

Meet the 2023 Activator teams: teams.nucleate.xyz.

Participating teams will now refine their scientific discoveries into biotech venture theses and train under Nucleate’s unparalleled network, rigorous curriculum, funded fellowships, legal support, and highly subsidized perks. Following a successful team formation period, they join the ranks of past Activator teams, including Manifold Bio ’19, Concerto Bio ’19, Glyphic Bio ’21, Kano Therapeutics ’21, and Range Biotech ‘22.

The scientific leads of the 2023 Activator teams aim to address human diseases, food scarcity, and the climate crisis using their own inventions and discoveries. Learn more about this cohort’s teams, whose members span laboratories, business schools, and hospitals around the world.

Nucleate invites life science founders, executives, investors, and scientists interested in assisting Activator teams as a team mentor or workshop expert to register at mentor.nucleate.xyz.

“At Nucleate, we are mission-driven to democratize biotech and make it available to everyone,” stated Soufiane Aboulhouda, co-founder, co-president, and chairman of the organization. “This year’s Activator teams hold the promise of revolutionizing the industry, but the real legacy of our endeavors will be the inclusive, diverse, and talented Nucleate community we aim to foster. Our goal is to empower and inspire the next generation of biotech pioneers by providing education and training opportunities to today’s academics.”
